Hello All,
I'm looking for password management software that works like the one McAfee had with Guard Dog or Internet Security. It was a cool feature as it stored your login name and password and you just drag it to the login box.

I switched to Norton Internet security and it didn't like Guard Dog [didn't work anymore].

I've heard someone suggest using Wordpad, but I have no idea if this is a secure idea.

using a simple text editor is not secure. period. I have been looking for some programs also, and there are some on www.download.com that seem ok. I haven't tried any though, too lazy...

Simple workaround would be to use an encryption program like PGP or Wincrypt or an archiving program like WinZip or PowerArchiver that supports password protection of the archives. I created an Excel spreadsheet for my user names / passwords and encrypted it. All of the specialized password saver programs I've seen have been kind of cheesy. Decided to just use tools I already had.

I hear good things about Fortres...some of the local University give it out to everyone and support it fully.
