New for me build, just retired my Phenom II :-(
Sabretooth Z77, i7 2600 3.4Ghz, 2 x 8 gig memory, 1070Ti Aero, EVGA 600 80 Plus Certified PSU, CoolerMaster 212
( Over the factory heatsink, the 212 dropped cpu temps way down, tried some new fangled ceramic heatsink paste and got another 2c )
Idling, all cores are around 29c at 1600 Mhz ... when running all Passmark CPU tests ( below )
Mhz goes from around 5,xxx to 7,xxx Mhz and will on and off drop back to 1600 Mhz ... temp on one core will a few times bump 56c ... voltage will jump up a tiny bit and then back down
Is this normal ?? ... Last Intel PCs I had were a 386 which I still have to a Pentium 233 ....The new UEFI bios threw me a bit as well
When I first booted the PC up, I think I hit advanced settings or something, it was running at around 4000 Mhz
