passively cool an A64

I want to minimize the fans in my case. I will be getting an antec sonata with an A64 3000+. Would it be possible to passively cool the cpu, just use a really really really really really good heatsink? I would still have a fan in the back of the case, just not one on the heatsink. Anyone know where i can find such a heatsink, if at all?

Would it be safe? no plans to OC, itll run at stock settings.

My 2c worth: you'd be better off with a fan on the heatsink, and no fan on the rear of the case. Probably quieter too, since it would be decoupled from the case's exterior. A Thermalright SLK-948 with a 92mm Panaflo L1A running from the Antec's Fan-Only line would be pretty quiet, if you wanted a specific nominee.

Get a Reserator. Silent water cooling, can easily cool your relatively low powered A64.

sounds like a good idea.....
thats what the dell in my sisters room has, sorta....its a heatsink with tube venting directly to rear case fan. completely silent too, except for that awful harddrive whining. thats y im sticking with my seagate, ill sacrifice a little performance to avoid that noise.

edit: i think in the end ill just have both fans after all, i dont leave my comp on at night anyway since i need pure silence anyway, 1 or 2 fans wont change anything i guess (and i have no plans to tangle with water)
