Not the cheapest card ever but looks pretty good for the price.


Edit: After using my eyes it dawned on me that this is not a low-profile option and thus might not be suited for many HTPC case. :/

Also note that this comes with the slower gddr3 memory instead of gddr5.

I've never heard of HIS, but the few reviews I found were good. Several commented that a 430 was a better card, but seemed ok with this one.

For HTPC isn't motherboard video usually fine even for 1080p?

hd6670 and or hd7750 passive cards have far better video quality then motherboard graphics. I have had sapphire hd6670 ultimate and sapphire hd7750 ultimate cards both passive and both have really good video for htpc. Much better then motherboard quality.

Better in what ways for what functions? Gaming or 1080p?

I'm using a Radeon 6670 with GDDR5 for gaming. Plays LoL, TF2, D3 and MW3 just fine at 1080p, default settings.
