Passive eavesdrop bugs, some fun history and some recent news

When you know how, it is possible to create eavesdrop bugs that do not require a power source.

Although the newssites obviously do not understand how it works because they mention it can connect to wlan networks, it is in a sense just a tuned electromagnetic absorber (Antenna 🙂 ),tuned to a specific frequency and has some mechanics attached to it that is modulating the absorbed frequency and thereby sending out an AM signal. The source signal is the everywhere present 2,4GHz for WIFI and bluetooth. With a receiver and proper signal cleanup, some niceo things can be discovered.
