passed 6 hours prime TT, move on to memtest now?

Asus a7v133v rev1.05, unlocked palomino @ 138 X 12, 256 mb of PC150 @2,2,2. Temps maxed out at 54, cpu, 34 mobo. now at 52/33, using GC69 and AS3.
Ran Prime overnight, I don't have this comp indefinitely, I have upgraded it for a friend. He has enough savvy to go into the BIOS and turn it down a bit with phone instructions, so I am not worried if it messes up a bit after I give it to him.
What do you think, boot into memtest for a while now, and call it a good start?

Will it be used for games? If so, I'd run Prime 95 while looping 3DMark or something like that. You want to stress as many componants at once as you can to ensure stability.

does it matter which one? is 2001SE better for this kind of thing, or 2003?

2001 is more stressful on the entire system... 2003 mainly relies on the GPU's DX9 abilities.

I tried 2001, and this new win2k install does not have dx8, now to try and find an executable for that ( I do not want to mess with his network settings, so no downloading.....)
I am really happy with this upgrade, spent 35 on the chip, 7 on the cooler, and he kept all the rest. He is blown away with how much faster it is than his stock duron 800!

If you have any games... browse the CD for a DirectX folder... a lot of the time they have DirectX on there and you can run a setup.exe from the folder to install it.

Cool! found Dx8 on an abit mobo CD......ran memtest for 3 loops while looking around, I bet all will be good

No, no demo, you'll actually be running the benchmark... you can set it to repeat a set amount of times... or set it to loop endlessly.

looped the benchmark with prime95 for a couple of hours, no problems. I realize it is not the 8 hour test, but I need to get this thing off my KVM and out the door
