No monitor/KB/Mouse :D

Need recommendations on mobo and ram... Mostly decided.. but feel free to do anything up.


CPU- phenom x2 555 BE (don't care to unlock) -- $100

"is there a better stepping for OC?"


Vid Card - 5770 ------------------------------------------- $140

Aftermarket Cooler for Vid Card ------------------------- $60

Power - Corsair 550vx ------------------------------------ $80

Case - Cheap DON"T CARE ------------------------------- $25

Will be reusing old Hard-drives/Disk-drives

MOTHERBOARD?-

what's good / reasonably cheap / not too cheap (reliable)


MEMORY?-

Would i5 be better ? Very tight fit

Why do you want a cooler for the 5770? Or did you mean $60 Tower cooler for the CPU?

stock cooler works fine on 140mhz overclock for me.

I understand it sounds weird, But I've had 2x 4870s and 1x 5770 before, and the coolers were terrible. They're loud and they're just not BIG enough to cool the thing.

TEMPS are high w/ stock coolers too.. without AC on a hot day, these things hit 90s

It matters to me LOL.. I can see why many of you wouldn't care.

I'd say either the i5 setup, or (My choice :cool: ) Ph II X6 1055T w/ Gigabyte GA-890XA-UD3 for a few dollars less than the i5 combo.
