I recently set my 3 partitions on my SSD (recovery, OS, and Data partitions) to hidden status using GParted with the Linux Mint Live USB installer because I wanted to set up a dual boot system on only one SSD. I reduced the size of the OS partition so I could make space for Linux Mint on the unallocated space. I then set the installer to do an LVM partition table but then changed my mind and went pack to the partition screen. That's when I noticed that my 3 partitions disappeared but I could not bring those partitions back online even though they now show up after I tried to recover them with the TestDisk program through the terminal in LInux. Even though they now show up, I can't reinstall Windows on the OS partition as the Windows 10 installation says that that it's because that partition is offline. My other Data partition is offline as well according to the Windows 10 installer. I ended up reinstalling Windows 10 on a spare hard drive I had, but still that does resolve the offline issue with my 3 partitions on my SSD. Windows 10's Disk Management utility says that they are online but they actually are not as even though I can assign a drive letter to the Data partition, I can't access it because it says it's unavailable. How do I really get the Data partition truly back online? I also tried to recover some of my data in the Linux Live session from the USB installer through the File Manager but even though I can copy the data, I cannot paste the data to my destination drive as the word paste is grayed out. Am I going to have to do a secure erase of my SSD to fix this issue with my partitions? Can my data at least be saved from the data partition if I can't bring the data partition back online?
