I just expanded a partition on my 2nd HDD in realtime under Win2K+SP2 (yes I know, not smart...it didnt tell me to restart). Then it said it finished the operation and I closed the program. Went to my computer and didnt see the partition that I resized! Reopened Partition magic and it said it detected a error on the 2nd HDD and wanted to correct it. I clicked NO and it marked the whole HDD as BAD. Closed and reopened it up again and selected YES to correct the error...still didnt work. Oh yeah, ALL the partitions on that HDD have disapeared (thats about 30gig of stuff!! ) I have a current ERD which I made before the disc changes....
Booted up and selected the Win2K repair console...it said it couldn't find NTLDR. That doesnt make sense because the Win2K is installed on the 1st HDD (thats what I'm typing from now). This time booted up from the Win2K CD and selected REPAIR from DISC. Selected Manual repair and had System files and Bootup. After it checked the HDD, it BSOD's EVERY TIME with something like 'page fault in unpage area' with setupdd.sys in the dump.

HOW CAN I GET MY PARTITION BACK??!?!?

p.s. Anyway I can post images?

If you have a registered version of partition magic...call their tech support staff. I just recently had a problem moving a partition and it locked up during the move and I got an unrecognized partition. It was simple to fix but I can't remember what the tech support guy told me. Just call them, they are very helpful.
