I have a new laptop with xp BUT to use this pc at work it must have win 98 on it , the version of my works software is not compatible with XP,
so this leades me to this question is it possible to partition the hard drive so that I can have XP and 98 on it ?
If so what do I need? partition magic?
any advice will be of great help.

You can do it with or with out Partition Magic. FDisk the Drive and format your 2 Partitions using FAT 32, then install Win 98 1st...afterwards put the XP disk in and direct it to the other Partition. If you go to the OS Forum more help and info is there.
