I got a computer that came w/ a 55gb drive.

It had 2 partitions, 1 was a 15gb c: that was formatted w/ FAT32, the second was a 40gb that was NTFS.

A) now i can't access the 2nd partition. I didn't have anything important on it so i just thought i would format. No. it says "cannot format". What else can i do?
B) is there any way to reassign all the space to the first partition non destructively? will Partition Magic do that?

thanks alot guys

1. What OS are you using?

2. What Andy said...

A) What OS are you trying to do the format with?

B) (Since this is not covered more or less directly by the FAQ) Yes, maybe...
What Parition Magic (7.01) would have to do is convert the NTFS partition to FAT32,
then merge it into the 1st partition as a folder.
This process may lose some of the information stored as NTFS metadata.

Please don't just bump threads for a second opinion when someone points you to a FAQ,
if the FAQ does not answer your question you need to point out where it may seem incomplete
or what questions you still might have. That way someone can possibly go in and try to improve
on the imformation for everyones benefit.
