partitioning problems/help

Ok here is the scenario::


I bought a new laptop with 20gb hd.I partion to fat32 100%.I wanna remake the partition (i have only used like 4 gbs).i want 50/50 so i can install linux on ANOTHER parition.Now what i want to know how can i do this with out messing up the os ? i dotn wanna reinstall the whole thing over again.

some one help me out if you need more info iam here!
 
try partition magic or a utility called as fips , u may be infact having fips on your Linux CD .If you dont' have search on the net or on the redhat's site redhat.com.
 
I don't know about fips having never used it, but I have Partition Magic and it is a great program! It is a breeze to use. I dual boot with Win98se and Win2000.

When installing, definitely make the boot-up disk when prompted if you want to make one. If you do have problems with your mbr, you'll be able to bootup using the disk. I highly recommend it! 🙂
