If you're using Red Hat 7.0 can you give me best partition for my drive I have 30GB and will use 15GB for RH7 and the other half will format in DOS Partition. I have another drive 40GB is use for Win2k, Oh yeah I notice that you can't format in FAT32 once you reach 40GB. FAT 32 doesn't support 40 and up? ok one last question I have a Creative Lab geforce 2 MX which does not compatible with RH7 so am pretty much screw I mean can't install in GUI and it won't even start x windows it saids message saids no screen and fail on v41 something like that. I already download the driver from NVIDIA site and not sure how to install it in RH7. Thanks

My plan for Dual Boot
Pentium III 800
Sound Live Platium 5.1
geForce 2 MX (Creative Labs)
256 pc100
40GB ata100 (win2k already install)
30GB ata100 (RH7 not yet install, need partition recm)

You can check out this set up here. This is the company my brother works for and this is what they recommend. I don't necessarily agree on making the swap file so large but this will work.

Well, part depends if you have the 2000 on NTFS, that is If linux can't handle mounting ntfs, don't know, never tried...

If you're dealing with a standalone workstation, just do 1x RAM for the swap, that will be more than adequate, or even less, now that I look at your ram. Go about half or so for the win partition since you probably want to share files between both, mp3's etc. If you don't use ntfs on the other drive or linux can handle it, it doesn't matter.
