my little cousin was installing xp on her machine and for some reason now has two hard drives c: and e:. on the c drive it was partitioned for 2 gb and the e dirve has 10 (it's a 12gb drive, i believe). but anyway, now how do i get rid of the partition. the computer keeps on saying that the c drive is out of memory, but I can't do anything about it. do you fellas have any ideas on how to maybe merge the two drives?

There are two choices:

1. using a program, like Partition Magic, to repartition the drive.
2. copying everything onto another drive or media, repartitioning the drive, reformating the drive, and then copying everything back again.

The former is easy, but somewhat expensive. Unlike Sapilas I believe that the process is fundamentally safe if you use a good program like PM7. I haven't heard of anyone losing data using PM7. The latter is a pain, but it's free except in time. And you need a way to to back up the drive. If you don't have an easy way to do that, then we are back to #1 again.
