Partition...which one first?

1) Let say I have a 160GB drive. Do you installed the OS first, and then partition that drive to whatever you want later. Or when you install Window Xp OS, they let you choose the option to partition at that time...

2)Do you prefer to partition with Partition Magic, or do you prefer using Window management?

1)I partition it all out at the beginning, but it doesn't matter either way.
2)Windows.

If you have some idea of how you'd like to divvy up the space, be it for multiple operating systems, or limiting certain files (MP3s and games only get 50GB, pagefile/swap space only gets first 1GB, etc.), then it it is best to partiton *all* of it before you put on any OS.

If you don't have any forethought, just partition enough of it (probably no more than 5GB) to get the OS installed. You can always do the rest later.
