Partition Resize

I would like to resize partitions on a Vista 32 system . If I use , Aeseus Free Partition Manager or similar , is there a real chance of me having any problems , or is this a trivial thing these days ?

I've never heard of Aesus myself, I almost always use a gparted Live CD these days. But regardless of the app the risk mostly depends on the operation, some are much safer than others. But the chance of problems is never absolute zero, you should always do a full backup before any major filesystem operation.

I used EASEUS 5.5.1 on my XP Pro machine recently and had no issues (I increased my 100GB boot partition to 500GB... the free space being unformatted).

It's possible that it's popular with Windows people, I don't pay much attention in that area since all of my home stuff is Linux and my only Windows exposure these days is work related.
