Partition Help Please :)

Ok... I read a ton of dual boot questions before I started and yet I'm still stuck. Here's what I did:

1. I took my fresh 80 Gig Drive, booted to WinXP, and used its partitioner to make a 40 Gig drive (For XP) and a 20 Gig(FAT32, to share files between the 2 OS's), leaving 20 Gig for Redhat 7.3

2. I then booted into XP and used its format tool to format D: (the shared drive) in FAT32 file system.

3. I then booted to Redhat and told it to install to the free space (~20 Gig) left on the drive. It then gave me some kind of strange cylinder error and wouldn't do it.

Any ideas?
