Well it's time to rebuild the kids computer so I thought I would offer these parts to the TeAm before putting it in FS/T.

This is what's up for grabs:

Abit NF7-S ver.2 (one of the best socket A boards made)
AXP-M 2500+ 1.8 Ghz (great overclocking chip, It ran at 225x11 @ 1:1)
Thermalright SI-97 (one of the best socket A CPU coolers)
SilenX 92mm system fan (got to have air for the cooler right? :D )
Rosewill RW9600-128VD Radeon 9600

I do not have the I/O shield (backplate) but I can include a couple IDE cables on request

$100 US shipped, I use USPS Priority with insurance and delivery comf. I will consider offers also.

Pic1 Pic2

HEAT and e-Bay evals.

Please feel free to contact me via PM or at nmruhlig@gmail.com with questions or offers :)

Ahh that was the mbrd I hankered after ;)

Still my A7N8X has served me well (4yrs 1mth so far!) ,even though it can't do the high FSBs the Abit v2 did.
Oh & my XPM 2500 runs @2.5GHz @1.68v :D ,can do 2.63GHz @1.75v,but it gets bloody hot!:Q
2.475GHz was good ,what vcore was that at?

BT
What did you run yours at?

Oh btw I'll be retiring mine very soon too (~1mth)
(I've turned this into a reminiscing thread;))

I believe I was running mine somewhere around ~1.6v, I was going to check my settings before I shipped it off but I forgot. The ram didn't like to go any higher than 225:disgust: I know it easily out-folded my wifes HP with an XP 3200+ Hopefully my DFI/X2 will last as long as the ABIT/XP-M did :D

Yeah that should server you well :) ,I'm going the C2D route myself ,hopefully I'll be able to go over 3GHz!

btw 225 FSB/RAM was damn high for a skt A rig ;) ,my mbrd tops out at about 178-180FSB ,though I know some of my RAM can do ~230MHz.
Oh & 4yrs is the longest I've ever kept a mbrd in my main rig ,doubt I'll match that again!

Well the DFI/X2 Was bought in Dec '05 so there was no CD2 then :(

The NF7-S was the kids computer and it got a slight upgrade to s939 and a huge upgrade to pci-e graphics :D

I just updated all my rigs so check them out :)

Anyway ,not to worry the X2s are still good CPUs :)

So what have you got all of them overclocked to?;)

Yes the C2D was available in the summer of '06 I bought the X2 in Dec of '05 ;)

My rig is clocked to 260x10 @ 1:1

I got the wifes to go to 250x10 @ 1:1 but it gets really hot and I need it to be quiet. It's in the living room/dining room and makes a lot of noise so I just run it at 220x10 :)

I just got the kid's rig re-assembled last night so I get to play with it this weekend and see what it can do :D

Opps I missed that year thingie;)

2.6GHz is a nice o/c for your rig
So is your wifes rig in a small case then?

Let us know what you get out of that Ath64 3200

Btw I just ran the X3 demo on my XPM today ,its too slow for the 2nd scene ,min 10FPS:(
Think I'll need the C2D for that!

Wife's cruncher is in an Ultra MicroFly

Here's what I got done with the Kids Cruncher

I'll finish the sleeve job eventually but my fingers have had enough for now :) And that stock cooling has got to go! The fan on that ATI card is terribly loud :(

The GFX card s a JetWay X1600PRO 128MB, hopefully it's a decent performer.

Talk about reminiscing, My dad had me look at his Gateway 386 today to see if I could re-install DOS 6.0 on it!! It just doesn't want to proceed past boot-up :( Couldn't really figure out what was going on with it besides it being over 10 years old easily:D

lol ,bloody hell that's an old rig!:Q
Tried reseating the RAM & graphics card?

At work we've got a 386 that runs DOS & the Sun alignment program!. (works fine except it needs updating for cars released over the past 4yrs! )
