Looking to update the wife's PC. We will reuse her case, PSU, peripherals, and 4k LG monitor etc. including Windows 10. I have already ordered the RX 580 as the games she plays are rather old, and it should handle 4k in older games. The rest is likely a bit too much for what she does, but it will hopefully make it another 3-5 years. I'm open to the AMD option also for the CPU/MOBO, but the storage etc. I'm kind of locked into. I know it's pretty generic, but she mostly plays older STEAM games like Portal and PvsZombies etc., does spreadsheets and Quickbooks stuff, and edits photos. rIGHT NOW i'M JUST KICKING IDEAS AROUND, i'M ALWAYS OPEN TO SAVING MONEY FOR BETTER PARTS ETC.

Looks good, although I know nothing about that specific mobo (but it should be compatible with the i5-8400 hex-core Intel 8th-Gen CPU, being a Z390 board), and I might suggest an alternative vendor for the HDD, $120 is a pretty steep price to pay for only 2TB worth of storage. You can get 7200RPM 4TB HDDs from other vendors for the same price.

Last night I replaced my wife's 32"1080p cheap television she was using for a monitor with a 32"4k LG monitor. I also swapped out the HD6850 for an RX 580. She told me "I can't really tell a difference" so I decided to abandon the upgrades grrr.

Silly question, but she does has an SSD in her system right?

Yes she does, an a FX6300 overclocked to 3.5ghz with 12 gb memory. Old, but I guess I'll let her run with it for while yet.
