I was thinking of getting a part time, evenings job, just for extra money and to pass time.

I have a full time 40/hr/wk IT job now, benefits and all that... but what the hell... maybe I wanna work at night somewhere too to make extra money.

What types of jobs are there that will let you work from like 6-10 or 11? Something with very little responsibility and no fast food (bleh). No gas stations (I don't wanna get shot).

Maybe something in retail, like Barnes and Noble or Wal-Mart or something. Maybe the weekends too.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Working at a bar would probably give you the best return on your time.

I'm jealous of the hot women that can make insane amounts of money serving drinks to silly guys.

Delivering pizzas really profitable? I assume some of you suggesting it have experience - how much did you make?

I was thinking about the same thing. And it's funny cause I"m in the same situation 40 hr. work week in the IT field. Just to make some extra cash. I hope this thread keeps going.

they do if they consider them "hot". Apparently when guys get drunk they tip ANYONE with XX chromosomes, when women get drunk they still have some sense of judgement. Ah well. Call it a biological safeguard to ensure that the bad genes are less likely to be spread.

I did the two job thing for 6 months and i finally gave up it was to much.

I first try to get a job in retail stores for restocking or weekends and it didnt workout with the time i got home on weekdays and then weekends they said i would not know if things got moved of prices got change etc.

Finally got a job in a lab as data entry from 9pm to 2am got paid 10bucks and the job sucked i did it for 6 months but i mean it did help.

So i worked during the daytime from 10am to 6:30pm went home ate and then to second job. i would get home around 3am sleep 5 hours and back at it again.

very hard thing to do, few times i was falling sleep driving.

for 7 to 11 bucks an hour (depending on location) you should be able to get a second job as a pharmacy tech at your local pharmacy ...The pay is far from good ... but it's not too bad of a job, and more than you will make in most other part time retail jobs.

I was thinking about snagging a second job as well to get this blasted credit card taken care of.

I didn't think about working part time in a pharmacy, that is a pretty good idea.

My woman wants me to get a job at Bannana Republic so I could score her discounts on clothing, but I could not afford to buy an appropiate wardrobe to work there to begin with.

I would say bartending, though you'd have to work a little later than 11PM.

I've been volunteer bartending on occasion at a club I am a member at. No actual wage, but I get tips. Last Friday I made $80 for 5.5 hours of work, and it was a very dead night. $100+ is more typical. Plus, when I work on a Friday night, I'm not out spending my cash.
