Hi all,

Actually seems like a continuation to the problem just raised...well

I assembled a new system recently with a Winsonic motherboard. The monitor I used was a Sony Trinitron which was transferred from my other computer.

However, after I shut down the system after use and try to switch it on again, the monitor does not seem to come on, still remains in the power saving mode with the yellow light.

It can't be the monitor cos it worked perfectly fine in my old system.

Could anyone help? Would really appreciate it.

Try re-seating the video card. I had a similar problem with an IWIll KK266 motherboard. Wound up having to RMA the board. Like the AGP slot was bad, the card just made occasional contact.

There should be a setting in the bios to select what kind of videocard you're using, and it's usually set to PCI by default. I had a similar problem, and selecting AGP fixed it. Try it, it can't hurt... (if you're using an AGP card of course)

In my BIOS the AGP setting for video card is the default.
