They suck in general. One in a hundred is actually worth reading. A good one has a level of cleverness to it. The worst ones are the ones where someone pretends to be one of the people in the other thread, and all they do is restate the story from the opposite perspective. That's not parody.

At another forum I use, their Off-topic regulars have gone completely over the deep end with parody threads. About a fourth of all threads there are lame parody threads.

A good parody is one where it takes the board about 15-20 minutes to FIGURE OUT that it's a parody!
