Parody threads get instantly locked?

Whats the deal with the Parody threads being instantly locked... is there some FAQ I'm missing? Or is it based on a lameness scale?

P.S. I think you guys are a bit nazified on the parody threads... there really arent that many of them... allow for a few a day... and keep a paradoy thread counter sticky....

I don't think the mods mind the occasional parody thread. It's just when people go overboard - the mods cut the line at that one parody where literally everyone made a new parody thread over the original. I forgot what exactly it was about - probably 2-3 months ago - but there was literally 2 pages worth of locked threads in OT. It was ridiculous and I wish 2 week bans were handed out for everyone to show they meant business.

IIRC, someone was banned for calling the Mods "Nazi".
The only problem I have with parody threads is that 9/10 of them suck. They're not even funny.

The only problem I have with parody threads is that 9/10 of them suck. They're not even funny.

and thus the person that makes it gets flamed and punished, let natural selection do its job

I didn't call the Mods "Nazi" I said the policy is too nazified... meaning discriminatory... too much hatred of the parody threads... get me?

Plus they get locked so fast noone even knows whether it was funny or not... usually you get 2-3 comments and then whammo... lockdown... no more feedback.
