Parking ticket

So I got a parking ticket today...$20... not a big deal..BUT on the ticket where it says license, it seems the parking officer didnt enter the right license plate number. He/She got the numbers right but the letters wrong.

What happens in that case? Should I bother paying it since it doesnt even have my license (edit: PLATE) number on it?
 
All you have to do is plead "Not Guilty" and supply a copy of your registration showing that the license plate is not yours 🙂
 
As far as I'm concerned you didn't get a parking ticket did you? How do they track you if not with license number? I see no way they can. He has the wrong number and thus the wrong car on record. I suppose some other poor sap may get nailed with it unless they also include car description along with license plate (unlikely the person with the other plate has the same car).
 
ok I have the ticket in front me me it says:

Viol: 29
Desc: Other
Penalty : $20

Lic: WZV XXX (XXX is the correct number)
State: MI
Make: PONI (wtf is that.)
Model: 4 door (only thing they are right about)
Remark : No curb cast.

Err...no... If I can get out of it.. I will... this was totally accidental in a gravel parking lot, with no clear distinction of how the lot is divided, and it was my first day parking there.

I got out of my other parking ticket by contesting it, but I dont know if I should even bother with this one given the fact that they have some screwed up info.
 
If you don't pay it after a certain amount of time they'll end up mailing you something..because there's always the possibility that someone trashed your ticket. If you don't get anything in the mail you should be home free 🙂
