Now before everyone jumps on me and says "you deserve it just pay the ticket", I'm just curious to know what happens if you don't pay? I always see in the movies where the guy opens his glove box and there are like 50 unpaid parking tickets. Will they tack on more money? Will they put a boot on my car? Will they arrest me?

the ticket will increase in price, and if you don't pay it after a certain amount of time, they will put a warrant out for you. that doesn't mean they're going to search the hills for you, but if you get stopped and you have an outstanding warrant, they'll probably arrest you.

it will goto collections so the ticket will increase big time, also some states iirc will not renew your drivers lisence untill the outstanding tickets are paid off.

They won't issue a warrant for a parking ticket. Mabey if you had thousands in parking tickets.

The ticket goes up in price until it maxes, then they send it to a collection agency.
Many cities will also contact the DMV and try to suspend your registration.

In Philadelphia the city a few years ago took a police van, showed up at the houses and residences of people with outstanding parking/traffic tickets (we're talking dozens), arrested them and hauled them in front of a judge to pay up.

Edit: Besides, how much is the ticket? My friends have had a few in the city which are like $40 at most, and honestly, it's not worth the potential trouble - just pay up.
