So I have class tonight and parked where I always park and paid the 3 bucks for three hours. I came out and found that I had a time violation ticket on my window. I was 20 minutes over the three hours.

you were over the time limit. You f'ed up. Let me guess; you are not going for a mathmatics major are you. Here is a little hint:

3 hours 20 minutes > 3 hours.

You can't accept responsibility for your own actions?

When I was in college, you got one freebie per quarter. Go down to campus safety / security / whatever they call themselves, and see what you can accomplish.

THe maximum time you can pay for is 3 hours. The parking lot was not that full tonight and only a handfull of cars were in the parking lot when I left. (All had tickets)

Are you challenging the very idea of parking meters?

Where is te link to the thread where the guy got a boot put on his car for school parking tickets, so he removed the wheel from the car, and left the boot & wheel there in the lot?

I guess you should have gone down and paid for more parking before time ran out.

You have two options, neither are fighting.

1. You can calmly address the issue with whoever issued the tickets. Point out that you couldn't pay for more time, and the parking lot wasn't full to begin with. The law is there to protect people from someone hogging the spaces, and no one there was. It would help if you had the other people who got ticketed with you.

2. Be a man and pay your ticket. I've only gotten one ticket my whole life and I payed it in full, I knew I was in the wrong.

Ever heard of the boot? They use it here

If that's at purdue that's new to me.

I never paid them when I was there.

$15. I was not trying to rip off the parking space by parking for free.

For god sakes its $15. Pay it and get it over with. Is it worth having to go to court for??
