Driving up to SF next week and just gonna park it at the BART station for a few days since we dont need a car in SF. Anyone ever have issues leaving their car at the station for a few days?

i would disconnect the negative, black, post of your battery. depending on how well your battery is doing, it could die on you when you get back.

Depending on the station and days/times you might get towed.

Which station? Not all BART stations have parking available, but you probably already know that. My suggestion to you is actually to use the long-term parking at either SFO or OAK, both airports have easy transfers to the rest of the BART lines and the security is much better.

My friend had all four stock wheels stolen from his Jetta while he was at work. They left the car sitting on the ground.

i definitely wouldnt do that. none of the bart stations i know of allow parked cars overnight. your car could get towed, they love doing that in sf and they charge you like 500 plus a per day fee, plus an additional fee if you want to pick it up on a saturday. believe me, just paying long term parking at the airport is way easier. not to mention that most bart parking lots have poor security and you car could easily get broken into

this idea is terrible. even in little 'ol Berkeley the towing enforcement is quick and ruthless.

when your car is towed, those thugs often rape your belongings. When I mean rape, it means if you try to ask what happen to your stuff, they will rape you.

Which station? Not that it matters, I wouldn't leave my car at any BART station once the other cars are cleared out. Hell even leaving your car at a BART station WITH other cars is risky. I had my car vandalized at the the Fremont BART station, and I know a lot of people who have had stuff stolen at various stations.

There is no way in hell I would leave a car at a BART lot.
#1. Notorious for break-ins. Almost asking for it.
#2. Get towed for overtime. Almost better to buy a new car after that happens, Impound fees & Storage will quickly ruin a car.
#3. Hold ups. Depending on the location, you could get strong armed, or just plain old jumped.
#4. You get what you pay for. Pay nothing, expect nothing in return.... ;)

Seems like a much better option.

Some BART stations do have long term parking now. You have to pay for a permit that you can get online. I don't know how safe your car is though. You're still probably better off parking in one of those gated long term parking lots with security though.

Is this the aiport parking you are referring to? If so is this lot a Airport/Bart lot?

http://www.bart.gov/guide/parking/

Airport/Long Term Parking
Airport/Long Term Permit parking is an exception to BART's 24-hour time restriction. Airport/Long Term parking is available for $5.00 a day at all East Bay BART parking lots (except Coliseum, Richmond and West Oakland) and for $6 per day in the Colma, South San Francisco, San Bruno and Millbrae BART parking lots.

A limited number of Airport/Long Term spaces are available in the Monthly Reserved parking area. Spaces are guaranteed until 10 a.m. After 10 a.m., any unoccupied parking space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Buy your Airport/Long Term Parking Permit online now at Pacific Park Management/Parking Carma, which offers an easy, convenient and secure way to purchase with a credit card.

Umm, you're in the Bay Area. Is there anywhere in the Bay Area that could leave your car parked for a few days?

I would park at Millbrae out of all those stations if I were you. The parking garage is pretty well-lit there's a lot of traffic in that area (Millbrae Caltrains station is also located there, I think they may share the same parking garage).

Parking at East Bay is ok, but I would still pick Oakland airport or nearby airport lots over at the BART.
