And I would hardly call the most robust and reliable, the greatest data security, and the cheapest implementation cost "trivial benefits"

But you still have to manage it and that means managing users, installing and updating packages, monitoring logs for problems, etc.

I would, lots of awesome technology has fallen to the wayside because the presentation and usability was crap.
