parity among high end CPU H/S = better prices

now that the Zerotherm Nirvana and Coolermaster 212 can match the TR-UltraX within one degree or so, can we expect TR to lower prices now that they aren't the only one on top of the air cooling performance list?

their stuff is nice, but since they don't include a fan then the price should be a little closer to the ~$40 discount retail pricing of the ZT and CM.

Thermalright will charge what they are charging now for their coolers as long as people are willing to pay for them.

Doclife hit the nail right on the head.

They have gotten themselves more of a "name" if you will. Most people seem to trust products that are reputable, and there is reason to this.

Would you buy a Coca-Cola or a Sams Choice coke if they were at the same price? You would buy the name brand because you know it tastes better.

The same concept applys here. We all know that Thermalright makes great products. And people will continue to pay a higher price even if the competitors are a little bit cheaper.
