In a European city that has a less than brand new roadway system, might not be the worst thing. I can't see banning them unless they cause legitimate everyday problems. It seems his argument really is just based on "I don't like them, and because of that I'm going to say they're too big and try to ban them"

Here's an idea, ban bad Parisian drivers. I'm suprised I'm still alive after walking around in that city. Unfortunately, banning SUVs is not going to help the traffic problem.

Hey... Nothing's wrong with SUVs!

I drive an SUV

Of course its a jeep wrangler... Its very easy to maneuver in tight places and gets decent gas mileage.

When i've been to paris, the only SUVs I've seen are land rovers and Jeep Grand Cherokees (Turbo Diesels!). While those are larger than the average french car, they're no larger than a lot of the luxury sedans that are on the streets...

I'd really be surprised if this will actually pass. Doesn't sound like its definately going to happen or anything...

Imagine the rebellion of the SUV owners. It could be big trouble, considering SUV owners are the toughest people.
