Paris Hilton Sings A Song

NaOH

Diamond Member
My gf and I were discussing this song and I said, although it may sound like a normal pop song, the fact that she isn't a singer and just released a song because she is rich enough totally turns me off. Pretty much I don't appreciate it musically and don't like it at all. My gf on the other hand likes it. What do you guys think?

Not heard the song, voted no because Paris Hilton is a vapid fvckwit and should be sentenced to death by ants.

It's forgettable. And she can't sing. They can make ANYONE sound good in a studio. She has the fame to sell albums, and that's all you really need to make pop music.

Yeah, I just can't appreciate at all even if it does sound like Gwen Steffani like my gf says. She will like anything with a good beat. She doesn't even really listen to lyrics. She said she likes it better than the new Dashboard Confessionals cd because it is a summer song. I then pointed out that DCs album is summerlike, it is named 'Dusk and Summer' for crying out loud.

Hmmm. apparently all of you people are desperately out of touch and clearly DO NOT represent the "Main Stream" music culture in the United States today seeing as how the single did in fact peak at #18 on Billboard's Hot 100:roll:

Duh!!

I guess........if that is the "In" then I am glad to be in the "Out" crowd.

In all honesty, I don't like that song either.

As in independant musician myself I find some of the crap I hear on the top 40 stations absolutely laughable. In the end it just continues to convince me that my band is destined for a major record deal somewhere down the road.

I suppose that's a pretty arrogant statment considering all of the other unsigned talent out there but then I hear stuff like Paris Hilton and Ashlee Simpson topping the charts, my faith in our own odds for success is renewed 10 fold.

Are you a hot young girl?

Hardly, nor am I rich or famous. But then again, neither are a lot of other successful artists.

she can't sing for ******. It's all studio produced... What a bunch of crap crap crap crap crap. But I've never really liked pop either..

She stole the beat from a UB40 song iirc. Also she can't sing for ******, even the studio couldn't hide that fact. And she does not sound like Gwen Stefani, open your ears, she clearly sounds like a horse having sex with a cactus.

I haven't heard it. I can't listen to the radio anymore. I'm going to vote no though b/c I'm pretty sure I've heard it before from Britney, Christina, Ashlee, etc.

I like the song.

I don't like Paris Hilton, I doubt that's her natural voice, and I know its just a generic studio product, but I just think its a catchy song and a step above most other crap on the radio. Plus its key for hitting on 16-17 year old girls.

It was a song designed for a rediculously rich brat with no music talent. No doubt the intent was to give the attention whore more attention

If you can sing, they don't over-produce and computer-enhance your voice in the studio.

If you can't sing, well...you sound like No-Ass-Lee Simpson. Or Paris Hilton. Or Britney Spears.

But if you can sing, like Christina Aguilera, they try and keep your vocals somewhat intact on the record. Most of the time.

Why do songs like this get in the top 100, but when some classically trained musical genius writes a complicated symphony that's played by the best musicians in the world, nobody hears of it? I guess hard work doesn't pay off.
