The Simple Life bruised Paris Hilton breaks up with Nick Carter, says she is "just playing a role."
Just in time for Wednesday's season finale of The Simple Life 2, Paris Hilton is sporting some ugly bruises. Paris "has been photographed several times in recent days with noticeable bruises on her face and arms," E! Online reports. E!'s often incoherent gossip maven Ted Casablanca said that "Paris' friends and family want her to go to the police and press charges against the person responsible. But Paris hasn't yet made up her mind." Update: The Superficial has posted photos of what it says are "the marks left by where Nick (allegedly) grabbed her." More pictures are here. In other, completely unrelated Paris Hilton news (no post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacies will be committed here), Paris broke up with boyfriend and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter last week. And just three weeks ago, Nick had Paris' name tattooed on his wrist. He doesn't regret it, though, telling People, "No (I don't regret it) because I love her. She'll have a place in my heart, always." But in comments elsewhere, he seems to be a bit bitter. He also told the magazine, "Our relationship totally was based on distrust. She didn't trust me. I didn't trust her." Meanwhile, The Washington Post interviewed Paris yesterday, and in the piece, Paris addresses her on-screen behavior: "On the TV series I am playing a character, trying to be funny. I'm not like that in real life, I would never screw up all those jobs like that. I am doing it for the entertainment.
