Parents - Would You Get This For Your 3 Year Old?

Depends on the 3 year old. But if it was to be used outside only (which it should be), it would probably be fine for most. 3.5-4 year olds. There is a BIG difference between a 3 and a 4 year old.

No big deal. Paid $50 at a garage sale for it. Wouldn't pay $400 and wouldn't have it inside.

for his 2nd birthday. no problems with him using it but he doesn't use it inside in a crowded area. i've only seen him use it outside. he has problems using it himself though and hasn't quite gotten the concept of steering down. you have to be with him when he uses it, but he loves the thing.

In theory - yes.

I think the real question for a toy of this nature is whether you have a suitable place for the kid to ride it/play with it.

I don't, so my real life answer is no. But I see nothing inherently wrong with a 3 yr having a little battery car that goes about 5 MPH.

The problem in the situation you describe is that these people either don't have a suitable place for the toy or somehow don't realize how it's to be operated.

It could be worse, they could allow the kid to drive it around unsupervised in an area with traffic or other hazards.

Agree. My wife and I found a used John Deere Gator battery powered for $40 at a yard sale. Was in great shape but older. Needed a new battery etc but after spending @$100 for battery and charger we have a great fun item. HOWEVER, I would NEVER let a child ride it indoors unless it was a warehouse.

Our 2 1/2 yr old Grandson rides it well but with supervision.

Is there a park where he/she can ride it outside?

It's a kia. Nope, taste development and making good choice is something kids learn early on.

How much power does the thing have and how fast can it go. Good brakes ? 3 year old probably not I'd get something like that after they've learned a bike.
