Parents, why would you do this?

I think that some parents should just name their kids "Beat Meup Atrecess" rather than do anything like this.
Scroll down a little and you'll see what I'm talking about...

LOL Nice name, Craven!

Ah some people are just not sane. Unfortunately those people sometimes become parents.

most areas allow you to use the name you like in you local white pages, the name on the bill isnt always the same, for example if your folks pay the bill but your folks live across the states ,'their' name and addy wont be on the W.P. the user will, so the users name can be whatever, within obvious reason of course... some slip through the cracks though 😉

My mother-in-law used to be a Headstart teacher. She has had some students comes through her class with names that make you wonder what the parents were smoking when they decided on names.

Some examples:
twin brothers - Lemonjello and Orangejello
LaTissue
Diarrhea (pronounced D'Aria)

When my wife worked in retail (JC Penney children's section) a lady was looking at some clothes and asked her friend if she though a certain outfit would for Anus. My wife asked the lady to be sure she had heard correctly, and the woman said, "Why, yes. Do you know him?" That kid has a hard life ahead of him.

I think it's safe to say they are fictitious names. You can have your phone listed under any name you want - all the advantages of an unlisted number, without the cost. If you list your phone under the name "Zoltan X. Zzyzx" and when you answer the phone you hear, "Hello, Mr. zi...zizz...", you can just hang up.

Hmm, let's not try to suck the fun out of this thread, shall we? And just for the record, you don't need a fake listing to have that happen, I've had some pretty interesting pronunciations of my last name... The best was "airhose". My roommate hung up on them.

Anyone ever see that SNL skit with Christopher Walken where he is a retired civil war officer named Colonel Angus? Pretty damn funny.
