Last Night, I opened up the case cleaned out dust inside and outside of case an added a cd-rw. I decided to plug it back in and give it a test. I turn the sytem on and i smell burning electronics yeppie that is nice so i turn off the system and wondering what it is. The next morning i turn the system on and it gives me beeps i check the manual and and error codes and it's saying memory modules so i took one stick out and tried and than replaced the stick that is in with the one i took out both dont work.

I dont know what happen it was working fine there was no sort of shock or anything when cleaning dust and putting in cd-rw. I am thinking its the psu or motherboard i want to think the motherboard because the psu is a sparkle and its pretty new. I've been doing stuff with computer for awile i know what i am doing but idk what happen just stopped working.

biatch!

Did you use a vaccuum cleaner to clean it out? I think in the right conditions they can produce static electricity.

edit:Can you see what burnt? If you could smell it, there should be some physical sign of damage.

no, i used paper towels the outside and inside of case i didnt touch the mobo i touched the inside of casing. I will look for some later on some reason i think its the motherboard not the psu but i know psu do make nasty smells like that.

wow guess what i looked on the back of the mobo and there is a burnt part its very small it's right by the dell fan connector so i guess fan connectors get mad and shock the mobo if there isnt a fan in it 😀
