Parents need a new TV

So the old (9 year old) Samsung 24" CRT TV is dying (lines across the screen). Unfortunately, the TV is in a wall unit, limiting the width that a new tv could be (no greater than 28" in width). I guess that they'd want a TV that is less than $800 and probably a flat screen CRT since that would probably be all that fits the budget/wall unit. Thanks in advance for any advice.

They can pick up a 32" LCD for around $800 and get a little creative while mounting it.

I don't know how creative they can be. It has to fit within the confines of a wall unit and 32" LCD (since all I've seen are widescreen) will not fit and i don't know how they would feel about mounting a TV in the middle of the floor.

I bought my bedroom tv from here and havent been happier with the sub $400 tv I got.
Will be very hard to find this kind of tv for $400 shipped. BTW I got the $389 one ;)

Picture has been outstanding, showed up looking like new and been on every day for over a year without a hiccup. Got cyberhome upconverting dvd plyer hooked to it I paid $35 for thought the HDMI input and it is night and day differance in picture quality. I can no longer switch it to progressive and watch a movie. It is that big of a differance, plus It will get them into the hd world. Get the tv and a nice dvd upconverting player, and go out on the town with all the money you would save :D

Step 1: Grab measuring tape.
Step 2: Drive to Best Buy/Circuit City/Fry's/Video Only.
Step 3: Buy a TV that fits your dimensions and price range.
