I like Honda but Toyota has AWD but dealers say it is a hot vehicle which means $$$$.

I've seen two of the new Siennas on the road. Anyway, Toyota has a larger production capacity than Honda for sure. Toyota dwarfs Honda. I don't know how that will play out with the Sienna as far as production capacity, but dealers shouldn't gouge you as much as they do on Pilots, MDX's and Odysseys.

Also, Toyota offers cheaper CE versions of their Sienna which also give them a pricing advantage on the lower end and offer tons more features than the Odyssey on the top end. The Sienna is the better minivan for now, but Honda is sure to take a jab when they revamp it in the next two years.

Odyssey. Price gouging should be all but gone at this point. Sold one, myself, at invoice back in Feb. when I did my stint at car sales. And it wasn't the only one that month. Just be patient when dealing with the sales people. Hold your ground.

But, the Odyssey is sweet.

Have you even checked out the new Sienna? I have and it's awesome for families. For the soccermom crowd, it just outclasses the Odyssey.

Power side doors/tailgate
Slide forward middle row for easy access to bitchy kids
Panoramic rear view mirror to keep an eye on the hellians
AWD option
Split third row seat which fold flat
MUCH better interior design and quality
And tons of other crap that comes in handy

Haven't driven one but I just don't like the looks. At least he's steering clear of GM/Ford/Chrysler buckets of bolts.

Looks really don't mean jack in the minivan world. Features, ease of use, etc. are things that soccermoms look at. The Odyssey is rather homely looking if you ask me (as is the Sienna), but they sell on their abilities...not their looks.

Well - at least these new Odesseys have a V6 - our old one - I think a 94 is an I-4 which is just SO underpowered...

You might want to consider the Sienna's AWD if you go up to Tahoe a lot.

There's a great write up on the NEW Toyota Sienna in one of the car mags.

I think it was Car & Driver.

Sienna > Odyssey finally

I looked at both and i have to say if i was gonna by the mini van instead of the pacifica that i got, I would of gotten the Sienna. That van is very nice. Last row folds into the ground, so there is no spare tire (tires are the never flat kind?) The interior is roomy, the side door windows actually slide down, power doors, lift gate, and the interior "looks" like a lexus.
