Thoughts on this? There's way to much in the article to repost here - but the comments at the end of the article pretty much sum up what I think:

http://www.parentcentral.ca/parent/...le/995112--parents-keep-child-s-gender-secret

"But the email sent recently by Kathy Witterick and David Stocker of Toronto, Canada to announce the birth of their baby, Storm, was missing one important piece of information. "We've decided not to share Storm's sex for now--a tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm's lifetime (a more progressive place? ...)," it said."

Dont care.

People fuck their kids up in immeasurable ways already.
I suspect this wont be that big a deal over the course of his life. He will find himself regardless.

Not gonna take long before it's obvious. Though I'm pretty certain it's a boy,

What a bunch of pretentious fucktards.

“If you really want to get to know someone, you don’t ask what’s between their legs,” says Stocker.

Go suck a focking cuck. Idiots.

They were talking about this on the radio today. As much as the hardcore libs want to deny it, gender and gender identity do exist and are unavoidable parts of life. These kids are going to get eaten alive in school. Borders on child abuse if you ask me.

Doesn't say where in Toronto they live. Five will get you ten it's somewhere south of Bloor/Danforth, and Jack Layton is their MP. :p

Attempting to raise the kid "genderless" will mess it up no worse than naming a kid "Jazz" or "Kio".

Stupid parents will always find new ways to do stupid things to their kids and mess them up for life.

Storm, eh? Can the baby conjure up extreme weather conditions using its mind? If so I'm betting it's a she.

Co-sleeping?

Wait, they all sleep in like the same bed? Same room?

Lots of f-uped shit going on up there in Canada.

If only they'd gone with the name "Pat"

Well, that is a common sleeping arrangement throughout most of the non-Western world, so that one doesn't seem like a huge deal to me.

As a former homeschooler, whose parents worked really hard to give me an incredible education, I will say that "unschooling" is complete shit. Kids are not self-motivated to learn the appropriate width and depth of necessary subjects.

This is dumb. I don't really know what they're trying to do with this baby. It's not like gender identification is something that other people force on you.

Parents are idiots. Even their other kid is gender confused. He's a boy, yet they have him looking like a girl.

So if i wanted to buy a present for this child now, I wouldnt know whether to get boys or girls clothes, toys or whatever, so this kid is already suffering from limitations, as I would only be able to get gender neutral stuff, which must be less of a choice...No?
