Parents- do you like to "show off" to your kids?

I love making my kids think I'm the smartest, most talented person in the world :) It's just kind of fun. If I overhear them asking a question about something, I'll go look it up on the Internet and then pop in and give her the answer like I always knew it.

My 9yr old daughter loves the band Green Day, and she likes to pretend with her friends that she has a band. She'll take my microphones and they'll pretend they're having a concert. I heard them singing "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" along with the CD, so I hopped on my laptop and got the guitar tab for it, leared it in a few minutes (the acoustic part is 4 chords), and sat in playing along with them. They all thought this was the coolest thing ever!

I guess I do this to expand the kids' horizons and to be a good role model. Anyone else like to show off with the young'uns?

I don't think certain Antarctic denizens who feast on fish would approve of such actions...

Surprisingly, they care little for the human species in general, since the objective of their species is to lie in wait for humankind to become corrupt to the point where they need to be "contained."

Of course! At least once a week I show them how much daddy can drink and still drive them to school. And just last week, my 11 year old was out playing with firecrackers, so I came out on the back porch where they were and fired my shotgun into the air. It was a roofed porch so I shot a pretty good hole in the ceiling...but you should have seen their faces!

Haha...just kidding I don't have any kids. Unless you count that family in Nevada I adandoned. I sure don't.

I'm pretty confident you don't have kids, but if you ever do, be sure to let someone who actually understands the female anatomy handle the "birds-n-bees" talk.

I blame punk actually :p

Not that it's a bad thing, but that style of simplistic lyric-driven message-driven music spilled over into mainstream music
