I love making my kids think I'm the smartest, most talented person in the world
It's just kind of fun. If I overhear them asking a question about something, I'll go look it up on the Internet and then pop in and give her the answer like I always knew it.
My 9yr old daughter loves the band Green Day, and she likes to pretend with her friends that she has a band. She'll take my microphones and they'll pretend they're having a concert. I heard them singing "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" along with the CD, so I hopped on my laptop and got the guitar tab for it, leared it in a few minutes (the acoustic part is 4 chords), and sat in playing along with them. They all thought this was the coolest thing ever!
I guess I do this to expand the kids' horizons and to be a good role model. Anyone else like to show off with the young'uns?
