I really think parents just dont care about their children anymore. I just came from the grocery store. While waiting in line, I overheard a boy... he must have been only 7 or 8. Anyways, he said something along the lines of "I have to show my friend Manhunt, because he hasn't seen it yet!"... He was talking to his mother.

If any of you dont know what Manhunt is, it's probably the most brutal video game ever made. I'm 26, and after I played it, I felt rather dirty. Of course it's rated 'M' by the ESRB, but that just doesnt matter...

It makes me ill.:disgust:

Uhhh my 9 year old brother beat gta vice city on his own a few months ago. I don't recall him going out killing anyone or having nitemares.

Well your parents arent much better then and judging by your nick, they dont supervise their child's internet use either.

I don't get why a parent would let a little kid play a game like that either. My 7 year old certainly wouldn't be allowed.

So what exactly will these "violent" games do to us? At worst, desensitize us?

I don't know. But the Count in Sesame Street used to say "A la peanut butter sandwiches". So it can't be all that bad.

I guess being sensitive is a bad thing these days. I forgot about that... Do you fight with your parents a lot? Do they just give you everything you want?

Just as clarification:

It was Mumford the Magician who said "a la Peanut Butter Sandwiches" Those were his most magic words, he would say them instead of abracadabra and the like.
