My kids use iPad (shared), iPod Touch (personal) and a Win8 laptop.

Is there any way easily manage parental control across devices? If not, what would be best options for each individual device?
 
On the iPad and iPod Touches, you would set the parental settings on teh devices themselves. For Windows 8... no idea.

You can disable the browser, limit adult content, or create a whitelist. So, yes it seems.

I'm single, have no kids, and live alone. I've never touched the parental controls.
 
Windows 8 also has really good parental control. It's under "Family Safety" in Control Panel.
