Pardon my ignorance - But is basic cable effected by the digital transition?

My mother in law has basic cable (the most basic, basic cable available - were talking about 15 channels max)

AFAIK, the digital transition only effects OTA broadcasts correct, so even though she doesn't have a cable box, she is fine, right?
