I sent my motherboard back to Asus through Parcel Post. They are located in Newark CA, and I am also located in california, about 5 hours away. I sent the item on December 11th. It still has not gotten to its destination and today is the 19th. Should I be worried here? Should it take this long to send an item through Parcel Post? I am really worried that they might have lost my motherboard and that I will be in the hole $110 because of this. I didn't insure it like an idiot and I didn't even get delivery confirmation or anything. I do remember ordering something through parcel post one time, and it didn't come for about a month, will it take this long to send my motherboard?

nope not cheap, just stupid. I thought I was sending it out UPS ground, but I'm looking at the receipt and it says Parcel Post. I knew I shoulda just taken the goddamn Priority mail and paid $4 extra. I feel like an idiot now because I might not have my computer ready by the time college starts again. Not to mention that I just ordered a monitor that came with several scratches all over the screen and shipping that beast back will cost me another $40, unless they are nice and offer to pay the return shipping for me.

Official USPS policy is 4-6 weeks for parcel post. Does not matter the destination. It could be next door to you and still take several weeks. It's not just that it goes by ground, but has very low priority during sort processes, which matters a whole lot during the holiday season.
