I did a search and didnt see anything.

I saw it this past weekend and it was a full packed theatre. People in the theatre were pretty damn scared.

After the movie was over I thought to myself "that is it?" but it was one of those movies that I enjoyed afterwards the more I thought about it. my wife also had trouble sleeping that night heh.

It is definitely a "different" type of horror movie that scares you (or tries to) in ways which other movies do not do at all. I mean the movie is pretty tense and there are scenes where you literally watch this couple sleeping through the night, in a time lapse state, and it is actually kind of scary or gives you tense feeling. It is kind of hard to explain, but if you see it you will know what I mean.

So the more and more I think about it, the more and more I enjoyed it. it's crazy the movie was filmed with like $15k budget and it is making millions on millions now. kudos to the people who came up w/this idea.

Scary movies don't really do much for me anymore. When I was younger I used to get scared by them but now I just find them extremely boring and uninteresting.

I think theatres are the perfect setting for these types of movies. The darkness and size of the theater combined with the emotion of the crowd make it. Watching it on your own couch with just you and possibly a S/O just isn't the same.

I also thought "that was it"? It could have been 10X better.

SPOILER ALERT:

For example, when she left the bedroom and was just sitting outside, wtf? That's dumb and unimaginative. If she was in the bathroom, standing completely still in the dark staring at the mirror with a slightly angry look while holding a pair of scissors, I would have been like WTF is going on?? THAT is creepy to me. Her outside sitting there is dumb, sleepwalkers do that.

They also should have used more props, i.e. the pic in the attic. That was great. If you want to fck with someone, you don't give them direct evidence such as: seeing a real shadow on the wall, or having the demon actually be able touch them was dumb and hard to suspend belief for. The fire on the board, dumb - if the piece was just moved onto the kitchen floor where the keys were - great. The loud step noises in the house, slight moving of doors, the audible breathing = all great. Ghosts shouldn't be able to cross 100% into the physical realm, that completely ruins it. Using Katie to get to him, great idea and kudos - but they really should have put more thought into it. They could have used pets, children, his guitar amplifier, computer, anything else to channel the spirit in order to jack up the creepiness level. All they did was turn on the bedroom TV - uh, ok.

Finally, in the end, when he says they should go to a hotel and she objects - any normal person would have DEMANDED that she go and physically make her. Yet he put up zero resistance, even after all that had happened. Any normal person would have been hysterical. Even after he knew he it meant to kill him. Corny, corny, corny and not believable at all. Also, Katie not contacting a demonologist earlier - not believable at all. 5/10
