Paramedic study materials

My sister is an EMT and would like to be a paramedic. I guess it is a two part exam with one practical and one written section. She has passed the practical, but is having difficultly with the written. (Like many people in her field, she works a lot of double shifts and I think that leaves her exhausted.)

When I was studying for the bar exam I used a computer based program that presented questions, gave you a chance to answer, and then gave you the correct reply with the reasoning. It also kept track of your strong/weak areas and adapted in order to present you with more questions related to your weaknesses. It worked great, (if anyone's interested) but they don't have courses for paramedics.

Does anyone know of something similar for paramedics that someone has successfully used?

Is this for her paramedic license or the NREMTP exams? I don't remember any practical exams for the license, that's what the internship is for, if you don't pass the internship you cannot take the written. The NREMTP has a practical exam and I used to sit on the review board when they were held, but if she is going for her initial license that's probably not what she's taking.

Or is this her school written final?

LOL, too many tests too little time and getting licensed is only the start...

Thanks for the reply, I'm sorry that I don't know the answer. She has been an EMT for about five years and the city of Pittsburgh began cutting out that position. The city then offered to send each EMT to paramedic classes and then hire them back after they became paramedics. From that it sounds like she would be taking the one that comes first between the license or the NREMTP exam. She's tough to get in touch with, so I know I won't have the answer today.

Yup, there are two written finals, one with the school itself and one with the state. It sounds like if she passed the practical that she is working on the school final.

There's no real "quick" study guide you have to know the material. (I, for one, don't want somebody treating me that passed by using cliff's notes ;) )

If she does have questions feel free to ask.
