i dunno whats up with this thing,

i have word open with one document and thats all, and parallels is ploughing the cpu core (only one core mind since its not multithreaded yet).

by the looks of it, its parallel tools causing the problems, but im guessing i cant just shut that thing off or else windows wont actually work.

SR MBP 15.4 inch 2.4ghz model

had a fair bit open on the mac side, but nothing strenuous. i think what it is is the clip board sync. i was cutting n pasting between web pages in OSX and the word document, also moving images from the OSX desktop to my documents. i think it just gets hung up on that for some reason.

How much RAM do you have? On my Mac Mini with 2GB, I've found that I constantly have memory problems, but on my SR MBP with 4GB, I've found that it runs very smoothly. I'm not very impressed with transfer speeds between systems, either. You may consider running your VM on an external Firewire drive, that way OS-to-OS transfers don't occur on the same drive, which may speed things up. Also are you using Leopard and Parallels 3.0?
