Parallel Port Zip Drive question

Does the parallel port zip drive just use a regular old parallel cable?

Definitely not a regular Parallel cable. Has 25 Pin connectors on each end. I don't know whether a custom cable with a 25 pin M and 25 pin F would work.

You can use a standard 25 pin extention cable. My last origional parallel port Zip drive just developed the Click of Death thing. It's probably 5 years old. R.

Why do you ask? Did you lose your old cable?

Probably the age-old problem---It's just not long enough

keep the old cable & just add an extension to it to make up the distance!
