Parallel ECP vs. USB 1.0

USB by a bit, but USB is shared, so if you have lots of things trying to use USB at once it can slow things down a bit.

But USB is the faster.

I wish I had that link before in earlier arguements. I keep claiming that my HP printer is faster when I don't use the USB. And everyone claimed I was incorrect.
