Paragon seems to be an awfully coded game (despite gamewise is great)... even a Titan X is having problems against a 980....

titan x isnt the best selling card of nvidia afterall unless ofc somehow someone will make us believe that a cut down titan x(980ti) is so much faster than full die chip having less hardware and being less in general compared to it...

(this trend continues as back as 5900ultra)

It'll be interesting to see how performance normalizes after Pascal and Polaris release and both camps have time to optimize drivers around UE4.

Well, that and after the UE4 engine gets optimized, because it runs like a sloth right now.
