Parabon Computation projects

Does anyone know if the Parabon Computation distributing computing projects will work on Ubuntu/Linux Dapper Drake ?

I see that is says it will work on a certain level of Linux kernel but I am wondering if anyone has any real world experience with running it under Ubuntu.

That site is a little spooky. In one place they talk about serving non-profits, and in another they say this:

Before running on a provider's computer, client code is protected by obfuscation. Since Parabon runs all client tasks anonymously, providers never know whether their computers are working on biotechnology, chip design, cancer research, movie rendering, or other applications. Without this contextual information, reverse engineering is virtually impossible.

Yes, I am a little suspicious also.

Because when I asked about their having a user support forum, I was told that they don't have one, that all of the support is provided by them !!!
